Indeed. Steam is beginning to take a nose-dive compared to some of the other online distributers now. I think I paid £5.50 for Rage at gamefly. It was never that cheap on steam. Dirt 3 on amazon at 7.50.

While I agree the Steam offer is pretty poor, for the record, The Witcher 2 Version 2 is not the Enhanced Edition. ;) That'd be version 3.

Although I might buy that (despite having the Enhanced Edition from GOG) for one reason and one reason only: Version 2 supports nVidia Surround correctly - CD Projekt broke Surround support in the Enhanced Edition. :(

You know I wondered about that. But the game will auto patch the enhanced edition content for free I believe?

STEAM's Daily Deal today is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine at 66% off for 6.79 EUR/GBP 10.19/USD 10.19. Worth it?

OMG! Hell freezes over! Just did some calculations. Price in Euro is the cheapest! Woot!

Fair enough, but the question remains. Is it a good buy?

it's alright. There's the single player which is about 8 hours, multiplayer which is pretty similar to the call of duty weapon unlock/xp system and finally a mode where you fight wave after wave of enemies in co-op. There's plenty of content, it's just that nothing really sticks out as that great bar the 40k stuff.

Oh, and multi can be quite laggy since not many people are always online.

You can get both Dead Space games for about a fiver. If that's not a bargain I don't know what is!
