Multi Latest Steam & General Gaming Bargains: Read first post!

SR3 is very well optimised, looks good and is great fun to play. It's more over the top than the GTA games; big, colourful and excessive is the order of the day. I'd say it's one of the most enjoyable games I've played this year. And, for once, I actually struggle to see (with just the base game) where all the DLC fits. Usually, it's painfully obvious there is something missing.

 

It's not a clear upgrade or downgrade over SR2. I'm a huge fan of the first two games and the only thing i can see going for SR3 is the slight graphical overhaul. The story is decent but every activity is now part of the main story, Shaundy turned into an obnoxious c*** and

Gatt is killed off roughly 10 minutes into the game.

The clothing customization also suffered from the engine changes and there isn't even a proper day-night cycle ffs.

Probably worth it for a tenner but my full price purchase kind of stings.

 

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion going for 21.99 on the ZiiP Gamestore.

Pretty much the only retailer selling it other than Ironclad direct or Steam.

Includes the Beta access for those that don't want to wait a week. As far as I know, it includes all previous releases as well.

SR3 is £6.80 odd download from shopto.. even more "worth" it than from steam.

 

Latest bagwin is L.A. Noire on gamefly for £4.99. A friend of mine in OZ told me to buy it last week during a random conversation... now it's on gamefly at 75% off and I checked it out again at games pot...

Last week I bought the games in the Humble Bundle. Today I got the bonus games for free, even though I hadn't beaten the average price.

 

I don't care. My purchase was better than yours.

Except it didn't work on first install, had to wipe it and spent an hour trying to get it to work.

 

Either I've missed something or you're flaming a completely benign post.

I may have to ease off on the bargain games buying for a while. Kind of getting out of control now.

 

I saw this but don't you need to run their own software to play it? I'd prefer to just use STEAM or Origin for my games. Good deal though!

 

It's all a bit confusing... usually with gamefly purchases I enter the code into steam then download via there. I think the game will activate on steam but I made the mistake of installing and activating from the folder thus the game will be standalone now.

I think if you paste the code into steam it should activate.

The game is quite stunning to behold.
