Should I bend over and buy the Tomb Raider collection on Steam? Now, I love the TR games. Have every single one of them on physical media, but I'm a bit on the fence about the price of this collection. Especially since they jacked up the price again compared to the UK and especially the US price.

I swear some of these were cheaper in previous sales, for example Dead Space 2 I swear I paid less than £7.49 last year for it.

It was. As late as 29 October 2012 it could be had for 3.74 GBP. Best price in EUR was 7.49 EUR (just because we love to pay more), also on 29 October 2012.

No entries when I clicked that

as for the TR series, I bought TRIII a few days ago and the sound doesn't work on my PC, haven't spent a whole pile of time trying to make it work because it turns out I can't really be arsed with a keyboard only control scheme any more...

Tl;Dr unless it works out cheaper to get the whole pack I would just get the rebooted titles, they're great!

Glad you reminded me about the GOG sale, just remembered to pick up the D&D pack before it ends.

If you haven't played it then at £3.24 Rage is an absolute steal. I just bought the DLC and then decided to play the game again.Great fun.

I'd literally logged into steam saw it for £7 odd, put it in the basket and clicked pay only for it to give me an error message. refresh and it had gone back up to £14.99.

edit: weird, it's back to £7.49.

I owe Steam an apology, as I have folded and bought Deus Ex and three of the Tomb Raider games, but the rest of your list fails to convince me. I've had Fallout 3 and Crysis Warhead for cheaper from Steam in the past, and there's just been a bit of a lack of the 'too good to refuse' that got the Steam Sales such renown in the first place.

Having said that, is it just me or is that THQ package for £19.99 pretty enticing, even if you have got a few of the titles already?

And well done to anyone who did get Sleeping Dogs with 91% discount, sadly I missed it otherwise that would certainly have been a bite yer hand off moment for me.

    Long Live Steam Sales :D
