Consortium has mostly positive reviews. When it's on sale, it's less than 2 Euros.

I bought Farcry 4 in the Steam sale and the Uplay stuff seems much improved, it now integrates with Steam for launching/quitting, so you launch the game in Steam and everything else is streamlined.

    Thank you.

I bought the direct UPlay version in the Humble Bundle. So I'll see.
Need to get decent hardware first though....and then a years worth of time to work through my games backlog

That's a nice deal, but I've absolutely no time to get into FO4 at the moment, so I'll do what I do with pretty much every Fallout/Elder Scrolls game and wait for the GOTY edition to appear.

I should have done this as I have Just Cause 3, Dirt:Rally, The Witcher 3, and Elite : Dangerous Horizons that I’d already bought and not played! (Glad I didn't though)

Since I started collecting a few more games, I've also started using the Steam wishlist service, which can be quite helpful when waiting out for sales on games I'm interested in... but it's also bloody annoying when it notifies me about a game on my wishlist and I can't remember why it's there. Apparently I only added La-Mulana 2 months to my wishlist, and it's now 75% off, but I can't remember what my inspiration was for putting it there. It's usually because I've read something on the web that caught my attention, but when I look at this game now it just looks like a massive time sink. What-to-do? What-to-do? Traditionally I should look at the price, chuckle and snap it up, but I do need to start reining in my backlog, for my own sanity if nothing else.

    Anyone here recommend La-Mulana?

I add games quite often on a whim and fortunately rarely buy them. And occasionally I trawl through my Wishlist and dump a bunch of games that I know I will never buy.

My first reaction to the screen shots is it looks like a cross between Ghosts and Goblins from the 80's arcade game and Manic Miner/Jet Set Willy. If you were an 8 Bit gamer from that era maybe it scratched and old itch. Hell, I might even buy it.

If you have to ask, the answer is no. When you have a backlog, stick with games you really do want to play, while finishing your backlog.

It's important to be able to differentiate now between games you want and games that seem interesting. The latter is what we would've bought years ago when we saw it in a shop and needed a new game to play. We don't live in that world any more. There are games that 10 years ago we would've played that we will not play now (even if we buy them still, it'll just sit there in the library).

Another seemingly obvious thing that's easy to forget is that new games will always come out, new games you actually want. Your backlog and wishlist will be continually added to even if you're strict. This is a bigger point if you're a fan of RPGs, sports games or multiplayer games, which take a month to finish or simply never end.

Don't be that guy who buys games because they're on sale or look interesting, ends up with 2000 games, and proudly proclaims they 'saved' £100 buying a 30 game bundle, or got 75% off all those games. Because the fact is they haven't saved anything, they've spent thousands of pounds on games they haven't even downloaded and never will.

For those accounts with over 2000 games, the minimum (as a huge underestimate) they've spent on games they've barely played if at all is £4,000.
