Multi Latest Steam & General Gaming Bargains: Read first post!

Seriously, so many other digital industries could learn a thing or two from Steam. I often try bringing it up in conversation at the publisher I work at, but the amount of resistance I get is insane.

 

You're right. I read the shark attack stuff, it put a smile on my face and I spent money with them.

 

Trine is a good deal, although I just tried the demo and it's not my thing. But if anyone hasn't got it and like puzzle platformers, it's worth a shot for that price.

 

Expected this thread to go into meltdown.

Are these deals on for a week, or are more going to be announced? I'm off on holiday for a fortnight as of Sunday. Genuinely worried I'm going to miss a bargain, am I addicted to Steam sales?

You might get another group interested though, £7.50 per Bioshock 2 in the 4 pack does seem like one of the best deals for the first 24 hours of the sale ...

Is Fuel any good? It's not the money (at £3.73, it shouldn't be!), I'm more worried about wasting my time/bandwidth >.>

 

Prob-bally one of the worst racing games you will every play,its not even worth 25 pence in my opinion.Buy killing floor i got it and im loving it

 

Really, hmm have it on steam just have never got around to downloading it, might not bother wasting my bandwith, I got it as part of a pack any how.

I'll be looking out for soulstorm (warhammer 40k) hopefully it will be in the sales, other than that might get a few others that take my fancy.

Which before the sale would have cost £91.42 but during the sale only cost £20.73 making a saving of £70.69 so let me repeat myself I'm loving the summer sale

On a side note I hated the fact that there was no crosshair on Killing floor then I realised about the iron sights now I've just got to figure out how survive long enough to get to the trader

 

I got it for free aswell, played it for 20 min and uninstalled it

I'm not usually into racing games that much, but I really enjoyed Fuel (Warning: the PC version does contain SecureRom and GFWL). Also had a copy (for my birthday) on the PS3.

 

It's such a shame that the packs on sale don't give you copies of the game you already own. I was about to buy two packs when I saw the huge note under both of them. Shame really.

 

Are there ‘Today specials’ for the next couple of days or is it just today only and the summer sale until 4th July?
The valve forums suggests they’ll be a new set of deals after 5pm GMT but I’m not so sure?

Wonder if the weekend special will be on?

not sure about the todays specials but theres a countdown on the steam store at the moment so I'll guess we will see if the todays specials change when it hits 00:00:00

 

I'm pretty sure the items in the blue banding area with the timer will change whenever the counter hits zero.
