Just got left 4 dead 1 and 2 for 7.81 w00t!

 

Nice move on the day the DLC is released, now all the downloads speeds suck as everyone is spanking the servers

 

Finally I buy L4D1 and 2 Add me for co-op madness. Newbie here, requiring some aid

Yes server suck at the mo - currently getting 38kb/s

 

I was getting 10-30kb/s, switched my location to ukraine and it went up to 300-400kb/s

 

Anybody want to join in on a 4 pack of left 4 Dead?

 

Went to install the MoH beta there, so I searched for medal of honour in the store search bar. No results. Search for beta? Medal of Honour open beta, top of the list

 

i also got the l4d pack for me and my GF. gonna have some fun with this. anyone else wanna join in for some l4d newbie fun? ID: spectre645

 

Because it's Yank. Honor is spelt without the U.

 

You'll notice he searched with a "u' each time, and one of them actually worked. The only difference between the two was the addition of "open beta".

If indeed the game only recognizes "honor" then certainly "medal of" should have still made it show up if "u" was the problem.

Edit: one upside of everyone downloading L4D today seems to be that no-ones downloading the MoH beta, full bandwidth Cheesecake

 

I might - can't remember my steam name at the mo... this was always one of thiose games that for me i didn't like enough to buy at the full price - filed under - "only buy when it's cheap on steam " - didn't expect it to happen quite so soon though....

Well, Left 4 Dead 2 was pretty much impossible to pass up for £5.

Looking foward to it, but damn my connection; on Steam I get about 150 KB/S as an absolute maximum. Guess I'll have to leave it downloading all day.

 

This is all I ever get from Steam now, no matter how I try to purchase. I suppose they don't like me calling in from a Taiwan IP when my residence address is UK.

EDIT: Yes a Taiwanese address works, and I can buy with Paypal. At last!

try to get someone in Bit-tech office to do the purchase for you? or try to remote desktop into Bit-tech office to buy it?

 

Even though I still haven't tried L4D and I don't really think much of Killing Floor (hey, at least it was cheap ) my money squandering side got the better of me and forced me to buy L4D2...
