While writing features for LcdStudio 1.5 somebody send me some blinkenlights movies. These movies are actually quite funny to watch and since i didn't want people to wait for lcdstudio for seeing this i created a stand alone player with the HD47780 driver. You will need dlportio installed and a 4 line display.. click for (xvid) avi I included one movie, but if you want more there are tons at blinkenlights.de link to Installer
i don't know what just happened in that vid... it's a little had to follow (i think, in part of it, a guy jumped off a building)
Hmmm..something awry here... the installer runs fine, however when the app is launched i get the following.. blinkje: Runitime error '429'; AxtiveX component can't create object. dlportio is installed and no other app is accessing the parallel or serial ports... (i have a HD44780 vfd on each)OS is XP Pro.... is there something i'm overlooking?
on some systems the hd4480.dll doesn't seem to be registering, can you try a manual regsvr32 hd44780.dll and see what happens?
lmao. those guys are crazy, i remember ages ago i used to connet to their **** over telnet from school and watch it on the computers when i was boerd. blinkenlights.towel.nl ::edit #2, i tryed it to be sure, i had it wrong, its ' towel.blinkenlights.nl ' :: try connecting to that through telnet. im pretty sure that was the address for the entire first star wars movie. funny stuff, some ppl have too much time on their hands. dez ::edit:: after visiting their site, im not to sure if it is the same guys, no matter
open a command window... cd \program files\blinkenlights lcd (ow whatever dir you isntalled to) then type in the command regsvr32 hd44780.dll and it registers the .dll.
i've updated the installer it should be fine now, but then again.. it should have been fine from the start...
