I've got an Asus A7A266 MB, and I'm using a CF636 Parallel LCD (was testing to see if I like having LCD before buying expensive MO), but for some reason, LCD center won't register any of the MB sensors (temps, fans, registers CPU speed).... any trick or any particular reason why it might not be?? Any help with getting it to work??? ICQ or email if you can.. or AIM, or yahoo or MSN (Yahoo: virtual_lite MSN: virtual_lite@hotmail.com, AIM, ICQ & email in signature)
LCDCenter hasn't been updated in a while, and peeps are reporting your problem when using MBM 5.1 or greater. It works with MBM 5.08 for me. But LCD Smartie is much much better.
Working finw with MBM 5.1.0.2 for me. It hasn't been updated in a while, but it seems to work for me. Do you get other stuff out of LCDCenter? eg straight text?
Well smartie may report your info right but it like to hog my cpu and memory I've heard of a few conflicts causing problem with mbm in lcd center - have you tried ntot using quite so many sensors etc. and playing?I'm using 5.1.0.1 and it works ok. LCDC is by far the best lcd software you can get.. but it's doesn't work with // lcd's and may never (though it may) Cross your fingers and hope Cheers, r.
hogs memory.... not cpu though.... and i'm only trying to monitor 1 fan... and LCDC won't recognize it... though i don't know which version of MBM i have... 5 (5.1.0.6B to be exact)something (should also mention CF parallel LCD)
lcdc didn;t work as your lcd is // as you say... I'd try reinstalling lcd center and a new version of mbm... ? r.
nope its just being stupid... probably just retarded asus board (and its 1210MHz 1200MHz cpu *curses asus*)
LCDC does hog a bit of memory if you go into the configuration/screenbuilder (can't work our why it aint releasing the memory) but once setup if you quite and run again (or use autostart etc.) it should only run in about 5.5mb of ram although this will probably go up by the time ver 1 arrives...
My ASUS A7V133 reports my 1GHz T-bird as being 1009MHz (www.geocities.com/special_4k4/info.html) and it's always off a little bit when I overclock (por ejemplo: http://www.geocities.com/special_4k4/images/11x137.jpg and http://www.geocities.com/special_4k4/images/10.5x133.jpg) It's pretty wierd.. -special [k]
Hi special [k]! My Celery 1000 get reported as 1000 through 1004, and it flips around rather rapidly. It's extra bizarre. That last digit just keeps twitching.
Its usual, as WCPUID gives an exact FSB, rather than a bios FSB, which is rounded. FSB doesnt stay stagnent, even though you would think it would... it is always around the value you set it to +/- 0.5Mhz normally, so a little extra CPU speed is gained.... Hence the reading being slightly off
Asus also stock overclocks a tiny bit... as I've come to find out (P3B-F reporting 453MHz... A7A266 reporting 1210MHz... go figure...)
