    I didn't see anything specific about that kind of connector in that thread. Also, there are many dead links in there as well.. So I'm not any further.

    I was looking for a converter for this type of connector.

    Try looking for the data sheet for that monitor. When I found the data sheet for my laptop's lcd the model number of the connecto was also in there. I would say that those connectors don't have a spesific name since ther is many different ones. I will probably just be some random letters and number that make up the part number, and they would be specific to the connector.

    can you measure the pitch (the space between each pin)?

    try www.hirose.com , they make small connectors like this.
