    Hi,
this seemed like the best place to put this, let me know/move it if not.

I have just bought myself a KVM so I can use my normal desk setup for my (company) laptop.

So this is the first time I've used an external display for this laptop, and it's going via an unbranded KVM with integral wires.

I'm getting slight (but distracting) flickers of distortion on screen, and don't know if it's the KVM or the laptop display settings.

    Laptop screen native res: SXGA+: 1400 X 1050
    My TFT SXGA: 1280 x 1024

So I set my laptop to use SXGA, and turned off 'image fit'/stretching.

The laptop is also docked, but I hope this doesn't actually make any difference.

    ---

Sorry for babbling post, hope it makes sense.
If you can help me, please let me know.

    ---

    edit:
    laptop: Dell Latitude 600
    TFT: AG Neovo F-17
    both running at 60Hz

It's the switch, they take the signal and pass it (obviously) so you suffer signal loss. Bad thing on the 'ol LCD screens

I'd recommend changing your monitors refresh rate to 60Hz and see if that helps get rid of the flicker. GL.

so do you still get flickering if you plug the Monitor directly into the lappy?
