Electronics LCD half working

    Just got a 4x20 LCD and can get it working in 4-bit mode using the crystal fontz test tool, but 8 bit give garbage on the screen. Any ideas???

    It's a parallel display btw.

    Ok, was my own fault.... Now working. One of the wires in the cable had come loose.

    Now, anybody used LCDSmartie with success?

    Yep. Smartie works great, so does jaLCDs. Check out both.
