Hey, I've currently got a XaserIII Lanfire case, and I want to put a LCD in it. I'm considering changing the baybus (came with case...) in it for one of the MO LCDs that have fan control... Alternatively, I'm beginning to really like the idea of mounting a *decent* graphical LCD in the top of the case. Got the inspiration from a few months-old thread (this...), but I'm guessing that'd cost a bomb? Any ideas on the best option? I do have a spare laptop and its LCD, but that appears to be more hassle than its worth... Thanks, Ben
Well if you are going to spend MO sort of cash then yes you can have a good gfx lcd, in fact if you are willing to do the work yourself you can pick up a 240x128 for about £30-40, T6963c Or for a little more cash, a 320x240 like this sed1335 could be yours, just make sure you read the faq, and get a controller that is supported by software or its as much use as a chocolate fireguard. hope that helped..

Wow... me like those LCDs! I have to say that the thought of all that soldering is kinda daunting, but I'm supposed to be doing a Electronic engineering degree next year, so I'd better make it look like I want to ;o) It's the controller and all that worries me to be honest... Have PM'd you coorz. I hate to ask an obvious question, but is blue the only colour that can be produced with those sed1335's etc?
How refreshing, he dont want a blue one, no i would imagine they come in other colours, i know there is a black/white coloured display same as the sed blue one, and they might even be a bit cheaper, as for soldering , that depends on the display, that green one was to solder, the blue one, ickle bit , but soldering is not that hard to get the hang of. Colors are not defined by the controller, it's the LCD itself. Ming, haven't you jacked that Aston Martin yet . I already sent you some files last week . You must have 'm as i didn't get a return error mail.
