I have a 4x20 VFD sitting at my desk at the moment that I'm having a hard time finding a good use for. As of now it just shows CPU and memory usage. The exact same thing the the monitor above it shows, so it's kind of useless. After playing around with some of the plugins to LCDSmartie I discovered that the perf plugin supports monitoring other computers in a network. However, I still can't get this to work. I just get access denied (as expected as the remote computer is running Win server 2003). Is there any way of getting this to work? The other alternative I have thought of is getting some sort of remote virtual USB thing, but haven't found anything free. I don't even know if this will work. Alternatively; Does anyone have a good suggestion for something to put on the VFD? (I have CPU, memory, disk, network, winamp and a clock on a separate display (Proper 24" monitor). Oh, and I'm running win 7 RC1 if that matters. TIA
