Ok I gave up on trying to find a data sheet ot whatever for my oki display so I wnet searching though my shed and found an lcd driven by a chip marked as 5c3 8 HD44780A00 I found out this was a Hitahci chip and I also did a quick google search on it and found this site http://www.piclist.com/techref/io/lcd/44780pc.htm But i still dont understand it, and it talks about using C to control it. SO what I am asking can anybody help me by tellin my how to wire this up so i can use comercialy available or freeware software to control it.
