im wanting to use a small lcd screen for my lian li v2000 case. should i go with a psone screen or one made for a car? also, how would i interface a car one to my comp? would i use the parallel port? im a noob with electronics so go easy.
No, since the car-LCDisplays only understand video-level signals, you have to connect it to the s-video output from your videocard and have a RCA-male on the other end, and plug it into the screen..
and if you want to display system stats, you can use "samurize" and configure tha vid-card to use the lcd as a second monitor (extended) and put the "samurize" info on that screen
as far as i know, the psone screen also have the same signals, since the psone, got videosignal output, and i don't think that sony wold bother to make a new video-standar just for a screen for the psone.. different connectors maby, but not more than that (atleast that is what i think)
witchever is the cheapest and easyest for you to get hold of.. (and maby witchever you find the most attractive/sexy ) just pic one, ( I woud go for a car-lcd (as they don't have a rund PCB on the back)
