Ok, this weekend was supposed to be water-cooling weekend... I've stuck everything together and was test running it, but noticed that the res was slowly going down, and bubbles were coming out of the pump into the rest of the system...checked and the casing was full of water (its an EHEIM 1250).... Not good...removed the pump and checked the casing...turns out the hold-down disc that keeps the o-ring plate in place was loose, so I re-attached that and ran the system again...still getting water coming out of it... Has anyone else had this? Is it an easy thing to fix or do I need to look into getting it replaced (I got it from extremecooling.co.uk...whats their returns policy like?) I'm really hoping I kept the box somewhere round here.... BC
Not heard of this problem before? Sounds like you have a case for a RMA. It may be worth firing off an email or a quick call just in case they have a faulty batch. I have found TeKHeads and their sister site to be most helpful if a little slow. If you start doing to much to fix it then you will loose all hope of sending it back. I hope this helps. Perhaps post a picture
OK...pretty much teh conclusion I came to as well I've got the receipt and the garentee card...I recycled the box (small room, little room for packaging)...I know that should be enough, but how are tek-heads with returns? BC
If I was them they will probably send you the new one back in another box and return you old one to the manufactures in the new box. We do this all the time at work for replacement hardware.
