In my quest of learning more about electronics, I thoght that I might as well post a question or two here at the electronics forum. I have actually never built a circuit containing a transistor, and would really like for someone to explain to me a little about transistors, and maybe give me an easy circuit I can make myself. These are the transistors I am able to buy at my local electronics store (it's in Norwegian, but you'll understand). In addition to this, I have alot of old electronics from which I have previously taken parts, which also contains transistors. So I hope someone would explain to me about transistors, and give me a circuit containing transistor(s) that I can make. And that link I gave you also contains some voltage regulators. It would be nice to have an explanation on these too.
Here is a good link on transistors. I would explain it in better terms, but I am busy at work right now. http://schools.netguide.co.nz/djj123/howitworks.html
Thanks, Zap. I found one myself, too: http://www.ibiblio.org/obp/electricCircuits/Semi/SEMI_4.html I'm starting to understand it now. Will do some practical experiments tomorrow.
I made a simple circuit with an LED, a power source and an NPN transistor. Worked like a charm. Got to do some more experimenting now...
