Modding led not diffusing

    just started fitting the LEDS under the Case mod that I'm building but for some reason the Leds are not diffusing the light they are hitting the fllor like a spot light not actually lighting the under side of the case like I wanted sorry this post is kinda badly worded but not sure actually how describe the effect I'm after.

    To make the leds dffuse the light more, you need to sand the top a bit so the light gets diffused more

    Sand the top until its flat and then sand the sides at about 400 grit..

    Thanks! I never would've though of doing that, I was sat here wondering whether I had to shove chunks of plastic over it or something so the shone through, or I had the wrong LEDs etc... and so on, so cheers!

    What color are the LEDs? Clear-coated LEDs (or at least the super bright ones that I have) are designed to be focused. They emit a 15° cone-shape of light from the top of the lens/package.

    How about some pictures!?!!
