Electronics LED's on 12v. What do I need?

    i'm thinking of hooking some LED's to a molex. How do I work out what size resistors I need? I guess I need one so it dont go pop. I'm not settled on what LED's im gonna use, so just a hypothetical example would do me fine.

    I could give you the whole 9 yards about resistor calculation, but it's 0:06 hrs right now and I'm feeling kinda lazy :p

    Simply, all you need to run any LED off 12V is a big enough resistor to drop enough voltage at the required current so that your LED doesn't die.

    The value required will depend entirely on the specifications of the LED.
