I believe you can (even retail version) since the retail version installs the game into steam. And as long as you have another pair of serial key you will be fine.

No i don`t have another serial key i have the one with game i got from my local store so if i install here it goes on steam im sure like most valve games now it should be on the account and so if i got home sign into my account i used at friends it should be there to install or do i need another key for another install....Sorry i just want to make sure it will be okay since it was 49.99 and if i get ****ed i might need to buy it once more.

No, thats fine. You can install it on two computers using one login, but that will mean you can only play the game on the computer which your steam account is logged onto. I have done it before with TF2 so its fine.

Most of the games that you have purchased on steam will show up as "uninstalled" on your friends computer when logged into your steam account. You can freely install all your games, but he will no longer be able to play them once you log off and he logs his own account back on. And you will still have your games on steam!

In short - Yes, just need to install them first to play!

Also, this should probably be in Gaming.

    ;)

Also, you should know that Steam is pretty good at keeping people from sharing a game, Offline mode doesn't work every well, and you definitely can't play against each other.

The game is tied to your Steam account permamently. No matter what you do you'll keep it. Even if you lose the disc you'll still be able to play on any PC.

If you pop in a slightly better AGP video card you're all set. That 3.0 Pentium should be OK for the Source engine.

You can go 1080p, just tone down some settings...

Seriously read the review on this site to get a grasp on how back-breaking this game is.
