Best way to deal with her is to lob a molotov at her.. then she runs around on fire and you can shoot her or watch her die eventually.. great fun

I've found the best thing for witches is a pipe-bomb to set her off, quickly followed by a couple of people emptying shotgun/M16A3 mags into her.

 

Or use Hamachi and play LAN

 

My L4D Director doesn't like me I walked out towards the police car on the first level and get hit by a smoker my team mates (A.I. Bots I was on single player) start to revive me only for a horde to erupt and mob us somehow in between killing the horde and being revived a hunter jumps on me so he is shot off with a shotgun rather than being pushed off the bots start to revive me again only for a boomer to spawn behind them who then proceeds to vomit on me.

and yes it was on expert

Dang it they patched being able to play as a zombie. Guess I'll have to wait.

I Made the mistake just now, of sitting in the huge room on the second lvl with my rifle collecting headshots. I dont think the director liked that so soon a tank came in. I thought i would use the pillars until it started smashing though them :epic:

 

I'm assuming a 'tank' is the big bugger that smashed through the side of a subway train car when I was taking out a horde just after being exploded on by a boomer?

 

Yeah that sounds about right. He's the one you have to just keep shooting and hope he doesnt get too close or throw something at you.

 

The game only gets fun on Expert mode. Perfect sense of threat.

 

finally completed the demo after I figured out that the Overclock was causing the crash. It's fun but at no point was I scared nor did I find "advanced" too hard and the source engine is starting to look pretty old now which is a shame.

I may actually give this one a miss

Haven't you been reading the thread? You have to play this on Expert to find it actually difficult, Advanced is for when you don't really want a challenge, but the AI Director is a mean bugger with a sick sense of humour on Expert.

I attempted it last night with a bunch of cocky noobs, we didn't make it past the first street three times in a row. Didn't help they kept running off trying to play hero, fools.

I find the best way of dealing with witches is avoiding them. Of course, I've never actually been able to do that yet, usually something goes wrong and someone startles it somehow.

 

I've only startled it once, it was in the last room with the mini gun and i didn't see it until i started the gun firing, next thing i know i was quite dead.

Any advice for dealing with tanks apart from empty your entire magazine into them?
