Now as an evil left handed person I know there are lots of issues in a strange right handed world.

Tin opener. Most evil contraption ever invented. Even electric ones cause me issues.
The inventor of the ring pull can should be given a nobel peace prize. Why you ask well look at some famous lefties Napoleon, Stalin, Hitler (allegedly),Castro Bin Ladden (which is strange for old bin as its impossible to shoot an ak47 left handed) Maggie Thatcher. All lefties all wanted or want world dominance why???. Simple they couldnt use a tin opener hence anger frustration and desire rule the world. (this might not be a true fact).

So after years of using either right handed mouse or a im not commiting myself mouse designed for no one. I purchessed a death adder left handed mouse.(not the cheapest mouse going). Wow from gaming in the dark ages before a mouse ie a speccy zx81 to finally after all these years having a real mouse. The most amazing thing is the mouse buttons are reversed automaticaly and its amazing how easily you adapt to clicking in the way god intended.

But and heres a big but there are still evil right handers still trying to sabotage my gaming delight. One culprit Valve L4D2 why help your being eaten click bit mouse comes on screen and shows me the wrong button. But apart from some minor issues cause by the nasty RH its been best investment for pc gaming ive ever made.

Now some people claim George WWW Bush was dumbest man ever. And heres proof why

    Ronald Reagan 1981–1989 Left-handed
    George H. W. Bush 1989–1993 Left-handed
    Bill Clinton 1993–2001 Left-handed
    George W. Bush 2001–2009 Right-handed
    Barack Obama 2009–???? Left-handed

    :D

I've had a logitech left handed mx610 for quite a while now (it was the only normal left handed mouse I could find at the time) and it is definitely so much better than a normal mouse.

At least being left handed is an advantage in quite a few sports though (fencing + tennis especially).

Being left handed isn't really a disadvantage in fencing, in fact I'd say it's an advantage as left handers are much better trained to fence right handers than right handers are to fence left handers. Also, left handed fencers are brutal.

EDIT: Read that as disadvantage for some reason but I'll leave this here to reinforce the point.

Hockey, lacross and polo are much better examples since everyone has to play on the same side.

@pandoraocicat: Have you ever considered trying to play with your right hand? I'm fairly comfortable switching to my left hand except my right hand doesn't know what to do on the keyboard.

What is true is that righties are out to kill us. Left-handed people have a lower average life expectancy because of industrial accidents in machinery made for righties.

That, and some of us don't get away after being found ****ing your mum ;)

It's because you're all evil and we feel the need to charge you at least 10% more on everything you use with your evil left hands! .... I know that can sound a little more disgusting than it needs.

I'm glad L4D2 hates you though :p That game was developed clearly for us highly-dominant and almighty powerful right hander's that can destroy tanks with the touch of a button ;)

I'm left handed, and I've always used the mouse in the right hand and keyboard with the left.

I don't need left hand scissors either, and I can use a right handed tin opener, it just takes a bit more effort. But I've always used the mouse in the right hand and the keyboard in the left, I find it hard not to. Infact, I think the only time I've had a real problem is with some DS games, where you have to walk with the D-pad and aim with the stylus.

    I suppose I'm just weird.

I'm left handed but find that it's more comfortable impersonating a rightie when gaming. I also play the drums, golf and cricket right handed though.

Im a southpaw, I write lefty, I use mouse lefty but keep righty button config, ie left click is with my middle finger. I play guitar and racket sports left handed but golf/cricket swing is righty. I also play right handed on drum set. When I kick around a football both feet are pretty even, maybe more power in left.

 < even this rock emote is a lefty, says it all really.

I've always maintained that using a cricket bat etc. "right handed" is really better for a left hander, as with the example of a cricket bat most of the control comes from the top (left hand)-you can even play a shot vaguely properly without the right hand but not without the left.

Depends on the shot you're playing, though. Drives and off side shots, yes, but most onside shots bring mostly the bottom hand in. Which is why (I think it was) Gilchrist used to keep a squash ball in his bottom glove to stop him bringing the bottom hand in and playing too on-sided.
