It's Russian. Very likely legal in Russia, however, not likely legal here in the states.

    Sounds incredibly sketchy to me.

The english translation is there because there is a large market for cheap pseudo-illegal song purchases among english-speaking folk.

Seriously, if the fact that they're operating in russia and aiming at english-speaking countries doesn't draw an eyebrow, their copyright information definitely should.

Well, the copyright info is kinda confusing, but if I understand it correctly, it's fishy.

If you don't want to pay a buck a song, check out a vendor like emusic which offers bundles. The various bundles bring the cost per song down to much less than a dollar.

Do what you want to do, but be careful. If you can, use "one-time use" credit card numbers just to ensure that you don't get scammed. (As you can tell, I really don't trust that site.)

If it's too cheap to be true, there's probably something wrong.

Create a rhapsody account and you get 25 free streams a month. Use audacity and an output to input connection to record the music streams.

The legality of this is sketchy though.

The shame is that allofmp3 is the only good download site I can find: choice of codec and bitrate, almost all new stuff is on there , no DRM, but it's not really legal outside Russia. However, I seem to remember some record company suing them in the UK and losing... hmmm.

ITMS has the best range but the worst DRM. And I'm not going to install iTunes on my computer.

Is there a good drm-free, definately legal service?

    Code:
       DRM Free
        / \
    Legal---Cheap

Untillimewire gets sued its not illegal. The legality is sketchy but The FBI will not likely be at your door.

The service is not yet illegal. Downloading music that you've not paid for is still in breach of copyright no matter what program you use. Hooking up two VCR's to each other isn't illegal, either, it's when you press play on one and record on the other is when the crime is commited.
