This is awesome news.
I used to have loads of fun playing through the original text-interface Leisure Suit Larry back in the day.

Get syphilis and die.
Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.
That last set of remakes were awful, can't see these being any better.
Fair point - the point-and-click system didn't quite have the same feel to it, but still; I hope these new ones turn out excellent.
Pretty much the first game I ever played.
With luck, it'll just be like the "Monkey Island" remakes...the original with better graphics?
"...there is a sore lack of humour today in video games."
Exception that proves the rule?
If there's an exception then it isn't a rule.
It was games like this that got the ball rolling untill we got www.fatuglyorslutty.com
Loved this news! I played the first one on my 286 pc (Peacock brand, i know, having played Larry on a pc with cock on its name). The LSL7 Love for Sail on 486, I even played on my current pc with compatible mode on and lots of things. A real laugh!
Make it good and bring it on!
excellent news. hope this is as good as the original.
"not 'bust' yet" fnar fnar fnar.....very good"
But I though exceptions disproved rules? Anyway, if GTA series are not meant to be at the very least a parody I must have a sick sense of humour. I nearly wet myself listening to some of the radio station commentary & dialogue in 4 is prizeworthy. Are not "The Baconing" and "Orcs Must Die" also intended to be humourous? I'm sure there are others, though admittedly not all big budget jobs. But if you consider tv programming as any kind of guide, smutty innuendo kind of went out with Benny Hill, really.
Box office Bust was worse than Simpsons Hit and Run
Any of the older members like me remember a game on the Amiga, which was like an adult movie making manager game? You had to get more famous to hire better girls, buy better cameras, hire better studios etc?
I remember playing it, but can find anything on google! It was like a soft porn version of Rock Star Ate My Hamster.
Please tell me im not mental!
Neither of you have heard that expression?
They used to be funny. There were a lot of adventure games that were really funny, Monkey Island, Sam n Max, Grim Fandango, Maniac Mansion etc. And even RPG's were funny, some great stuff in Planescape Torment. So yeah, there isn't much humour now, but there used to be. Although I personally think that all gaming is crappy now compared to how it used to be. You only need to look at something like Dragon Age 2 compared to Baldurs Gate 2 and see how things have changed
lol look at the suit.. as long as he doesn't swing both ways (to make it more appealing to console gamers)
I'm Surprised its not a cover based FPS remake tbh.
Lol! In your face games industry!
