Had to laugh, went into a halfords today (workmate was buying a stereo)

and saw an advertisement, "Spinning hubcaps only £44!"
I had to laugh, its a hubcap you install on steel rims, and the selling point is acctually -

"Have the appearance of your wheels spinning when the car has stopped!!!"

    and I found this - http://www.hubcapnation.com/spinninghubcapsvideo.htm

how sad can you get? Like the lad from work said, you'd be sat at a junction and a copper would probably arrest you for wheelspinning... if not, he should arrest you for been a ****... lol

    yay,

I think i'll take off my nice Alfa Pepper pot alloys with nice road holding 205-55-16's and stick on some 14" steel hubs (with obligatory curb mounting dents) and £40 kwik fit knock off tyres....

    nah....

Saw my 1st set of spinning hub caps this morning on my way into work on a '90/'91 Caddy. Stupidist thing I've ever seen in my life.

Why would you want you wheels to look like they are spinning when you've stopped?

    One word, rhymes with anchor...

I'm sure I saw a BMW X5 around these parts with these 'spinning wheel' things on the other day, it looked absolutely rediculous.

Anyone who puts these on their car should be shot.

Anyone who puts these on a nice car should be burned, and then shot.

The sad truth is that they make them for motorcycles too. Not sure how it's done, but I've seen them on TV.

Stop giving the US a bad name just because you have bad taste in the automotive realm....

Americans love big V8's and Classic mag wheels :thumb:

Not me ;) Hate everything about spinning hubcaps / rims. I agree with RaptorLoard, give me a classic set of rims any day - and none of these monster friggin huge rims with the teeny-tiny tires thank you.

people with style like me. i hate that my tahoe dosent have the washer jets on the hood. i want to get the blue lights on those. im concidering getting a tailpipe with blue lights in it. it should go well with the EL wire i put around the dash.

Your taste needs to be taken out back and have a bolt put through it's head.
