Good for you This is an awsome computer! If I ever go make one out of wood, I know where to look for insperation !
I'd try a bit more contrast between the case and the background. The most upper top looks a bit pink just like the back ground. Maybe try some lights with a bit more power. Ore just try to take the pics outside, which I always love.
hehe lol there is absolutely nothing wrong with pink, but the case is not pink. So yeah... OFF TOPIC / Greetings from the Netherlands too, though. I'm from the Noordoostpolder.
Thanks guys. At least I know that I'm looking at the same thing you are and it's not a monitor issue. I re-did the photo somewhat and sent this one in: A little baby blue at the bottom but it sure beats pink. Big thanks to Level Eleven's latest sponsor.
That explains why the Windows 7 DVD had to be visible Pic looks fine on my more-or-less calibrated LCD screen.
I want to apologize for this bump but I think it is significant. I have been bugged by the fact that I haven't been able to display the project as it looks in person. I have been working hard to get the lighting correct and figuring out how to get my simple point and shoot camera (Sony DSC-W1) to do things it was never meant to do. The culprit in all this was the artificial lighting I was using. I was finally able to figure out how to use pure natural light. Even the smallest amount of artificial light caused the cherry wood to appear orange. Here is a before and after... Anyway, I won't repost all the photos here but I did edit my "Final Photos" post to include all new pictures. A year from now the aging process will make L11 look completely different but at least I can now close this project knowing that I have accurately displayed it as it truly appears. As always...thanks for looking.
Wow, what a difference! I can see you grabbing that incandescent light by the throat a-la Homer Simpson, "Why you little... I trusted you!!" lol
Thanks guys. A "Behind the Scenes" photo... A light tent made from PVC pipe and a white sheet is set up on a table directly underneath a sunny window. Two sheets of white fibreboard are set up to reflect light back at the subject. A piece of white poster board is suspended from the light tent frame to provide a seamless background. I guess you could call this Green photography.
Hi! Did you do any performance tests? I might be interested to make a little MAME machine with an Epia 820 for 8/16 bits games, but I'm not sure it could handle it? Very nice work BTW
