My uncle has a Lexmark 2600 which doesn't print he's had this for a while he got it brand new originally

The scanner part still works but he showed me when he tries to print it gets jammed, he kept telling me to have a look at it but I've no idea when it comes to printers, anyway so i did look at it and found a few things which fell inside i got them out it was after this when i tried it and the paper was still getting jammed,

Is there anything i can do to get the printer working or will it have to be relegated to use as just as scanner

Unless you can see anything blocking it or an obvious issue just bin it.

Okay, but is there not anything at all I can do though by opening it up or is it one of those things where it costs more to replace parts than to buy a new one

I think it's time for him to upgrade to a laser all-in-one
Brother DCP 7055W A4 Multifunction Mono Laser Wireless Printer £125 with prime.
With the price of these things, just replace it.

you can try pushing a piece of card very carefully backwards through the paper feed to dislodge anything that may be stuck

its an odd one but have you changed the paper some times it gets damp with humidity and sticks and wont feed into anything

I would say the opposite. If you print irragularly the heads need to be cleaned every time you print and the ink dries up making for lots of wasted ink. Inkjet is idea if you print color regularly, especially photos. Otherwise, I think laser is better. Toner doesn't dry up as far as I know.

I did think about saying that, but didn't want to offend any Lexmark fans, lol.

I would say Epson or Canon as a new one
