Desk chassis looks to be going ahead. http://www.bit-tech.net/news/hardware/2014/02/26/lian-li-pc-dk01/1
ergonomics of that look terrible; either the desk is too narrow or the (vertical) depth is way too much; you'll either have barely enough room for a keyboard and mouse with decent mouse mat, and/or you will have your arms elevated too much and/or knees unable to fit under the desk... At my office desk with comfortable chair height and desk height, I have ~5cm of clearance between top of thighs and underside of desk...
I agree with that CDO, There are guidelines for the height of a desk to avoid getting a dodgy back injury / RSI and that to me looks too high without enough room. Is it me or are Lian Li's designs getting less functional ? Also isn't one of BT's own modders now producing desk cases, maybe he should start a lawsuit like every other company to get some publicity !
Reminds me of elementary school desk. I like the looks of it... but it's more the size of a side table than a desk.
Have to agree, the ergonomics look absolutely awful! I pity the poor souls who end up having that thing foisted on them...
Bloody heck that looks like my school desk from the late 70s !! Just wanna open the lid and get my comic out lol !
The more I look at this, the more I don't see it as a desk but more of a table top/raised case that you could maybe used as a desk extension with the ability to house a PC in it. Maybe put drawers underneath. Surprised Ikea hasn't snapped it up tbh
If it's measured from floor to bottom of the base then the height seems about right, but if it's measured total height, floor to top of the top then it's way to low. Either way it looks horrible, like something you'd find in an old junior school
Wouldn't look out of place in a 1980s teenage boys bedroom, along with a Maxi Swatch wall clock and Ferrari F40 poster.
They missed the boat not having the integrated uncomfortable plastic chair. It looks more like a North Korean computer desk.
Agreed - looks poo/cheap/uncomfortable. It's a shame as I'm a big fan of the case desk hybrid, but if your going to do it, do it right!
Nailed it. I love LiLi (I have two), I'd love a PC desk, but, yeaaaaaa.. What I really want is a wall-mounted PC though.
I don't get it, how is that desk supposed to work from an ergonomic point of view? It is 10 cm higher than a standard desk and considering the size of cooler you can allegedly fit there won't be more than 60 cm (less than a normal desk) from the floor to the underside of the desk. What would have made much more sense in my opinion would be to produce a "normal" desk, then simply replace the drawers / file cabinet on one side with a Pc Case like for example the PC-D8000.
