It is not meant to be a HTPC case. It is meant to be a midi-tower case that will fit on a bookshelf.

Midi-tower? Are we looking at the same pics? That thing looks to be at least six inches taller than my v2000, which is a solid two feet tall.

Fit in a bookshelf?!?! IT IS a bookshelf of its own!

Way to big for my taste. I don't why, but I don't like Lian-Li case.
I know I never had one to judge.... well...what I am trying to say is most of their cases does look nice, but the lack of features to make the dam thing quiet is missing, especially that its all in aluminum it really does not help. If the case was significantly cheaper, then yea, I spend out extra cash and getting sound damping material and mod the case a bit to make is quiet, like Antec cases.

I see little value for the money.

Same here, it' just makes thing much less convenient.

As I said: it is meant to fit on a bookshelf. The design is turned 90 degrees so that the case does not protrude so much (makes sense when you think about it). Consequently, the optical drives are side mounted.

In what sense....as I see it the only thing Lian Li has done wrong is the Armour case from a few months ago! That thing was hideous!!!

I for one love the look of this case and look forward to the review. The integrated docking for the hard drives looks awesome. The layout is nice and cooling wise seems to have great potential.

    :D

That thing is HUGE. The side mounted optical drives are interesting, as is the SATA thingy. Not bad interesting, but good interesting - like someone else said, you could put your case on the bookshelf or something like that, without having to reach around for CDs and stuff. Too bad it won't fit any VelociRaptors.

The only thing i like about it is the "plug-in" hard drives. otherwise the design is awkward.

I never did like massive cases. I just want a smooth box with nice internals. Like the metal boned.
