    Hows it going BIT-TECH.NET !

well its been a little while with no updates for this case, but this is due to not having a camera :(.
But i was given a camera yesterday to use, and boy is it a shocker.
No flash, 1.3mp, no zoom, macro etc. so its making this reallyhard to give u guys the goods that u deserve, and do this case justice.

Seeing the camera has no flash and my workshop has not the best light, the 30+ pictures i took didnt come out so great, but heres two that came out semi okish.

I hope to have my mates camera again sometime this week, next week at the latest so i can flood you guys with more updates that i know u want ^__^.

Today im working on a soultion for mounting the rear 120mm fan, which at this point will be countersunk screwd into the case chasis, with this it will leave around a 2-3mm gap between the fan and the red acrylic panel of the mobo tray.
So for this ill be making justa tiny little gasket out of some left overred acrylic and gluing it to the mobo tray.
Ive also started laying red acrylic onto the floor and rad mount of the lower section as u might just be able to see in the 2nd picture ( stupid camera :( ).
Ill have to get some photos of the detail etc. when i get the camera to show you guys.

Im also trying to track down a little dry brush / sand blaster type gun for some new etch work. As much as i love using my dremmel ripoff, its just not as clean as i woould like it to be.

untill then, please feel free to comment likes and dislikes in my comment thread.

That red acrylic is pretty sweet, got a good depth of colour to it.

Looking forward to some spanking new etching, hmm.... my uni dept has a sand blaster with it's own air line, hmm... maybe i can sneak in some plexi when they're not looking.

Dont come into my thread being a prat buddy.
As i was not the only person to point out there was nothing but text in your log.

This mod is on hold due to financial issues etc. as we all get.
And will be back in full swing in a month or two.

Well long time no update bit-tech ~
As most of u guys know i have had no access to a camera to auctally update, which has now been fixed ( cheers min3rva ).

So without futher adue ill leave it to the pictures XD!
here we have a few of the required parts for the case, rad mount, rear panel, top panel ( mobo tray ), and lower rear panel.

Seeing the top of the case was home to a 120mm rad in its previous life, which wasnt housed in the most professional manor, i was really limited to what i could do with it.
But i think IMO ive found the right cure ;)
a dvd rom will be windowd with a nice full view
    [IMG]
( not a clear picture but ill sort that out tonight )

Here we have a few other parts that ive made while u all thought the case was sitting around letting the case just decay away in the back of my work shop :D

Front bez. hdd's activity led's and the dvd rom frond bez.

Now when the tower is just in its bare frame i noticed a fair bit of play, or swaying when it was moved so i opted for a bit of a support beam.....
which consists of 4.5 mm clear acrylic, which has had a touch of bog.
And for the next update ill keep u guys guessing XD!

    anyone see any rivets...................................

Well i was in the workshop tonight and i thought id take a few more pictures with a few little bits together, and a few better shots of the parts.

here we have the rad box in all its soon to be completed glory
    [IMG]
still in the process of adding more red edging to it, ill be leaving the corners clear with white lighting pooring from inside the auctal rad box sticking with the colour scheme.
    and inside the beast
    [IMG]

now the rear panel worked out really well, but the idea of a rear 120mm fan hasnt so ill have too make a new one of these over the week, sticking with either one 80mm fan or two. Which ever will give me a good flow of air, and or will fit :p
    [IMG]
The top window for cdrom viewing and semi inner viewing.
a piece of clear acrylic was cut and glued inside.

A close up of the hdd and rom activity led array which ill start wiring up on monday / tuesday.
Now i know everyones been waiting to see what the acrylic looks like in its glory so heres a few pictures.
top panel along for the ride
    [IMG]
Now the front bez's will all be round at the edges 5mm, and either fitted via hexbolts as pictured, or some nice countersunk drives.
Im yet to decide which way to go atm.
ha i guess the mirror on the rear of this pump isnt serving to much of a purpose eh XD!
Here we have a close up of the bog work over the countersinking of the rivets.
The area was first ground back with my handle angle grinder to make sure that i had a good enoguh key for the bog to adhere too, which a lot of people slip up on when dealign with alloy parts ( from what ive seen anyhow ).
the whole case has been done which i mus admit took around an hour and a half to unrivet, countersink, rivit, prep, bog, and another hour with sanding..
The bog has only been finished with 150gritt, as the primer ill be using is a primer filler called 940 from sikkens.
which works wonders with all the shady repairs i use to get throwen at me when i was painting for a living :D
    [IMG]
pin holes like these ( if u can see them ) will be filled with ease
    [IMG]
but first ill just get to a little more touching up around the case with areas that have been effected with twisting due to movement :(
    [IMG]

well thats it for now guys, stay tuned fo rmore updates over the comming days, weeks !
