Hi all modders. Has anyone here modded the 5.25" Sunbeam 4 way Rheobus fan controller to have a Lian li front on it? Like this? Cant work out hows this would work. because the lian li cover is on the out side of the sunbeam Rheobus sides that screw into the 5.25" bay. ? Looking at doing it for my case. I already have the fan controller just waiting on the covers to turn up.
Have seen a photo on net thats got all of the Rheobus front and sides removed and they just drilled all the holes for the knobs and leds. Just the knobs holding the front cover onto the Rheobus. Just wasnt to use if if thats the safest way as its boards not supported at back. Here is the photo.
i've been wanting to do this for some time, except i need to make a template to drill the holes perfectly. The sunbeam fan controller is by far the best value for money fan controller due to the power output per channel!
I happily run 3 120mm yates DS12H off of each channel (well 2 of) and I have had no issues at all. I was thinking of doing this myself however I have recently gotten rid of my spares. Andy
Yeh plan to mod the front to a lian li fron and upgrade the black plastic led holders to chrome bevel's mybe ever change the leds or make dimmer because they kill your eyes they are so bright. lol.
