My friend and I were fighting over which brand makes the better of computer cases for cooling, design, quality, and ease of installation. I have always thought Lian Li to be the king of cases, he says that it is Cooler Master, I am in the market for a new case and so this is an issue of mine where I need the input of other geeks like myself to help me come to a good decision.

    It's a tough one, tbh.

Lian-Li have excellent build quality but they stick with clean, minimalistic designed cases whereas CoolerMaster like the more stylish cases.

As above, but I prefer clean minimalist cases - a clean, simple look is what I love, and that's what you get with a LiLi. :thumb:

Gotta agree with Krikkit, I like some of the Cooler Master cases, but others are a bit too overdone. Overall I like Lian-Li's clean, sleek look about them.

have to say the old coolermaster was the king, now however their cases have fallen quite a bit. lian-li and silverstone are what do it for me now.

I'd Lian-Li has the upperhand in quality control and design. But I love my Blue Cooler Master Wave Master to death. So I voted for Cooler Master. My case is my favorite case.

Lian Li is the sort of Lincoln/Caddilac of cases - they do the same thing as everyone else, but just that little bit better. I've owned a PC 76 before, and that beast smacked of quality.. but let's face it, as well built as they are, and easy as they can be to work with...

not everybody can afford $300 a pop. This is where CoolerMaster comes in - look at the Centurian cases - for about what, $60 you get a decent looking case with good cooling, and that's bloody easy to work in. It may be steel, but still. Cheap and easy fits many bird's beaks.

Lian-Li, but both are good. It really depends on what features and style you're looking for in a case. :)

Build quality, I wouldn't have a preference. Air cooling: Cooler Master. Water cooling and phase: Lian Li.

CM due to the mahoooosive and very pretty stacker 830 range

I'd only ever have a Wavemaster or a Black Stacker 830 from coolermaster.

Lian Li are so much simpler and cooler.

    Also, ever considered Silverstone?

I have worked with both and Lian Li have it buy a mile. The Old collermaster ATCs cases were nice but the Lian Li's of the same time period were nicer to work on. Apart from the original stacker and the wavemaster coolermaster have done nothing of any merit to lift them above the competion for a long time.

So Cooler Master makes cases?

..Ok I knew that, but it took me a while to remember all the fugly stackers I've seen. 1 vote for Lian Li.

    Lain-li for me.

There was a short period where their build quality went to pot. Now it's sorted.

Clean and minimalistic is stylish, IMO.

(And the V2000 beats the stacker 830 up and takes its lunch money in looks, durability, and ease of use.)

I'm gonna go with Lian-Li on this. Somebody already mentioned earlier CM cases like the Praetorian and WaveMaster and Stacker (the originals, not the sequels) and they are damn fine, but that can't make up for the rest of the line. The rest of their cases have a lot of extra plastic pieces and "features" that just don't stack up to the quality of Lian-Lis.

I just got a PC-7B plus for 80 bucks off of newegg and the quality is amazing. Every little thing you think about getting for your case, rubber edgin, 4->3pin fan adapters, even case fans for the most part, its already there!
