I'm thinking of getting custom plates after my license is all taken care of and want input from the community. Here's what I'm thinking...

    and lastly

Keep in mind that with the Finger Lakes plates (the ones with the boat), GEEK & G33K are already taken. Any other thoughts? The Finger Lakes plates can only be 6 chars long and the regular plates 8. They can only contain letters, numbers and spaces, no ascii...

These plates will be going on my Volvo, not the Nissan...

So it's still available then? 1337 DAD gets my vote then.

Add my vote for "L337 DAD" as well. :thumb:

You're so lucky to live in a state that allows you to look up available plate numbers. Texas is oblivious to the profit potential of personalized plates to provide that service. Here you have to list 3 choices on your application and hope that one is available, so not a whole lot of people/organizations buy into it.

L337 DAD in New York Cheesecake!

Hmm. I still like "L337 DAD." "D4D" is a very close second. The simplicity of those two really make them stand out. The others, to me, seem like they're trying to be too geek.

I don't think many people will get "4OH4," though that may be a good thing, depending on what you're going after here. It took me a few minutes to get it. I kept thinking you had misspelled "Aloha."

Yea, I think you're right with the simplicity thing. Too much and I become a nerd, just enough and everyone knows my geekness :)

Oh my god, does anyone remember Bumper Stumpers?? It just flashed through my head!

Oh yeah, I used to love that show. Of course, that was back when I was a kid and I could waste away my summer vacations watching entirely too many game shows.
