Not really any subject to these, they were all taken randomly on Saturday afternoon. 1. (taken whilst fishing on the Thames) 2. (On the Thames again, looking over to a set of Locks) 3. (Practising kicking before a colts match vs. Abingdon) 4. (while we were fishing this labrador went tearing off and came back with a 'present') 5. (An old and rather faded sign also on the Thames) (all photos taken with a Fujifilm S6500 fd)
Woot Nice old stye photos! I like them all that dog is funny with that thing Well done brother , Thanks for the photos.
I love the first one, though I'd perhaps have tried to find a way to get that second thistle head out of the shot on the left. Overall, though, it's a gorgeous catch, particularly with the little spiderwebs that are perfectly lit up. By the way, great job on the DoF on it.
TBH, you could get away with just a bit of a recrop of that image, probably. Maybe bring in the left and put in a little bit of a frame. The left side as a whole could use a little work, because the light is very bright off the river so it draws attention right there...if you could crop it right between the two thistles, you'll end up with a nice overall composition. Slap a little frame around it and maybe tone down the brightness a hair, it'll enhance the contrast of the spider web which would then be center-frame. If I could bother to deal with hosting long enough to throw a copy up somewhere, I'd frame it out for you and give you a rough idea of what I mean.
6. (portrait, taken uptread this time) 7. (Randomly taken by me, lying on my bed - look at my lovely hand-prints!) 8. (The 1st XV rugby pitch looking rather nice in the sunshine)
I finally found the image file, and as Da Dego suggested, gave the thistlely thing a good crop... Any opinions? (hold on... Image shack has gone gay with the image again...)
Heh, exactly my thought as well when I saw the pic. I'm not sure the crop makes it better though. Had a go (hope you don't mind): I think it's important to keep the colors in the background. Cheers!
Nope don't worry! Do you think you could do a crop with the plant on the left taken out for me please? Paint really isn't a good program for cropping...
Isn't that what you've done just above? Or do you want me to edit it out in Photoshop? If so I can't really say I'm up to it, sorry, but I will advise you to get the GIMP, which is free, open source and definitely better than paint And in case you would like it looking more like photoshop there's GimpShop which is just a different UI for the GIMP.
