I'm currently working on a side project for my Water cooling system based on this Project ( H2O Reactor ) I've Dremled out 4 1/2" Width by 3/4 inch deep from a 15" Length by 2 1/2" Radius PVC Pipe. I plan on replacing the Hole with Plexi and sealing it so i can see the water flow. But one of my other thoughts is lighting the inside and i'm looking for idea's. I really want to use Cold Cathode, but i'm thinking i'm gonna have to use LED which is much safer to use. Any thoughts or suggestions. Also is there anyway that I can seal a cold cathod in the tube without risking electrical issues ? Once i get a cam i'll be taking photo's of this mini project and posting a log for it, as it's all part of a bigger plan.
how about just drilling a hole in the side of your rez, and pushing an LED that way? That'll keep all the wiring outside your rez, but leave all the light inside, more or less. You'd have to glue the LED into place to get a watertight bond, but you'd have to do that with any other wiring anyway...
If you drill and tap a G1/4" hole into the reservoirs you can screw in one of these. It fits a 5mm LED so just solder up a colour of your choice
