Hi, my case has 3x80mm uv blue fans, 1x120mm uv blue fan and 2x blue CCFL's and im thinking of getting this set from ebuyer that comes with replacement IDE and floppy cabbles which are green uv reactive and come with a green UV CCFL so I was wondering if this combination which work and if all the blue lighting will interfear with the cables and make them glow blue instead of green? im really confused please enlighten me!

try to search pictures and maybe you will find something like yours. the keywords might be "uv leds" , "light" and something like that.

Right, So if a blue UV CCFL was next to a UV green reactive IDE cable, what colour would it glow.

    green

if you look at the visible spectrum and beyond youl see that blue is on one side followed closely by UV. I believe blue doesnt interfere much with UV, but red might however.

All ccfl's are UV. The way they work is the cold cathode produces uv radiation which actives a phosphor which then flouresces and its a tube... hence the CCFT

The color is glows depends on the phosphor that it activates, in a blue CCFT its a phosphor that flouresces blue, likewise for a green CCFT.
therefore with a gree uv cable, even a blue CCFT would cause it to flouresce green, however the blue light might be more powerful then the green uv, as the blue phosphors are closer to the UV source than the green ones. Only way to find out is to try.

BTW: if your going with a uv theme, find some uv markers or pain pens and try tracing over the traces on your mobo, looks hella cool.

i was wondering the same thing because I have 2 blue ccfls and I recently got some hardware with yellow uv reactive parts on it and it glows but it won't glow as brightly with blue as it does with uv so i suggest using the uv ccfls and maybe one or more blue ones

If you had a true uv CCFT you wouldnt be able to see the light emitting from it, what your most likely going to find is a purple UV light which has long UV rays mixed with purple rays (next to each other in the spectrum, acually violet)
So since the blue CCFTs are closer to UV rays than green, i would be inclined to think that the blue CCFTs would provide a more brillitiant glow then the gree CCFTs
