Hey ive got a fairly generic wireless keyboard, it does what i want it too. It runs off 2 AA batteries lasts me bout 6 months to a year on one set of batteries. Now i want to illuminate the back of it with red light. I could use EL wire but life span is pretty short, would i be able 2 do it with LED's, with a switch of course. Would it jst destroy my battery life id still want to get about 2 months on one set of abtteries out of it
A couple LED's should run for at least a month with their own power (2 AA batteries) and if you can fit two more batteries into the shell, that would allow for the longest life time.
cheers, but wud jst a couple of LED's illuminate my entire keyboard from behind i dont want LED's just shining onto my keyboard, EL wire is the best option but i cant really power an inverter of batteries can i, and if so where can i get such an invertor (UK delivery is a must)
If you get some super bright LEDs, then yes, you can light it. Are you talkign about lighting the backside of it, or the underside? LSDiodes.com has 2 US Dollar international shipping, and a host of really bright LEDs.
Where can i get this EL wire that runs of 2 batteries, sounds kewl, when i say light it i mean like behind the keys so the keyboard kinda glows if u get me?
