I know people here do not like the Lindows OS for political or what not reasons. But I want to know more of the performance, I have been to the lindows site and it "looks" like a good OS. But I want to know if it is good to the cpu like linux is. If it is, then I will go ahead and buy an old computer or make my own and run that OS on it. But yes, I am more interested in it's performance and look towards answers of the same sort, rather then personal bais's political and other opinions. Does the software support Divx, and game applications well?? Just wondering.
    Thanks

i have tried it and have found it not really any better than mandrake 10...which is free...the lindows project started out as a great idea a linux that would run windows apps natively but they pretty much let that part of it go and now it is just another version of Linux....you would be better off going with a established Linux distrubtion ..IMHO

    Ok thanks
Yeah I don't want to buy another computer nor build one and so I want to give my computer a more refreshed update. I also wanted to dedicateit my multimedia PC where I can do divx, and other video and music editing. But since it is a 800mhz PIII it would be too slow for xp and it's programs. That is why I was looking into Linux and lindows. It is alot cleaner and lighter on the CPU thus improving speed. Thanks for your reply.
