Networks Linksys Router WRT54G need more port !!

    hello guys

    I have Link sys router WRT54G and it have only 4 wire port ! I want use more I got more computers here so I need more than 4 ports !

    I have cnet hub 8 ports I dont know if it works with it or what I need to get to have more ports ?

    A hub would work, but it would be better to get a switch. Then connect the switch to the router and the computers can be connected to the switch or the router.

    mean I have to find switch with the ports I need !

    what's your advise with switch with 10 + ports ? which company ?

    Any make. I use a crappy thing called N-Link or something (an 8-port). Been working for reliably for over 4 years now.

    Go for a known brand name like Linksys or D-Link for more peace of mind. If you already have a 4-port router you will lose one port, but add on 7 with a 8-port switch (as 1 port on each as you will need it to interconnect the two). Should give you 10.

    You could go for two switches or go for a switch with 12 or 16 ports. But they tend to be more expensive and 2 8-port ones might work out cheaper.

    I think itsw good ? I dont need than 7 porst in use ! I have 5 computer more

    so its what I need
