i am typing this on my 64-bit computer, using my linksys WMP54G v.4.0 wifi card. how do i do this? linksys doesn't have 64-bit support for their products! here's how:

    1) first install your card into your computer

    2) boot

    3) when the new hardware wizard comes up, choose the advanced option

    4) say you want to choose from a list of drivers

    5) choose "Ralink" as the manufacturer

    6) select the "802.11 b/g Wireless Adapter"

    7) enjoy!

i found this to be much more difficult to figure out, but easier to explain than the other options i found on the internet. this was figured out by trial and error. if the driver doesn't work, try another Ralink driver. the v.4.0 board uses the ralink chip, google for other versions.

    i hope this helps someone!
