First time setting up a GUI in Linux; got XServer setup as well as KDE, and this is my first time posting from Konqueror!!! go me!
Point of advice, Mozilla is much nicer. Also a bit more secure. Although getting KDE up and running from scratch is quite a feat in it's own right; at least not without it screaming louder than the child of Satan. Otherwise what distro are you running?
started from stage 1 with gentoo (third time was the charm for getting everything working... finally figured out my sound issues... turned out the mic in my headset was dead)
