I've got a bit of training coming up over the next 12-18 months and my poor ipad can't cut the size of the training materials and videos having only 16gb and the cost to replace it is too high My choice A would be a Linx 10 so I can pop a 64GB card in and away I go, having owned a Linx 7 for a stint this is my go to option at the moment.... ...however I wondering if there is anything else out there at a similar price range which is also Win 8.1? I don't need anything powerful as its only for video playback so Surface's etc are out of the price range.
The Linx 10 is about the best you'll get for that kind of money. A similarly specced but smaller option is the Dell Venue 8 Pro - it has the same 2GB of RAM and a marginally faster GPU.
A Linx 7 has come up on the MP so that will go to keep me going. If I get on ok with the size I might look to get something like the Venue depending how much use I get out of the Linx

I would personally steer clear of the Venue 8 Pro. I've seen a fair few that simply stop working not longvafter purchase. I'd definitely go Linx 10.
Well it's more of a 'I'd like the extra screen space' on the 10 but I can cope with a 7" at a good price so given the £100 saving I'm happy to test the 7" for now. It's mainly for video so should work fine for MP4 playback and I've got a 64gb card awaiting to boost capacity I wish I landed on the staples deal a bit sooner as they just ended it when I caught wind of it lol
