There have been quite a few instances of people either praising or cursing suppiers on the forums, so I'm interested to see what other people think are the best and worse they have dealt with.

Mine are (not in order of preference)

    Best:
    Chillblast
    Overclock
    Dabs
    The Overclocking Store
    Stak Trading

Mainly because they deliver stuff when they say they will, and sort any problems that may have arisen.

    Worst:
    Simply Computers
    Scan

Those are really the only two I have personally had bad experiences with.

Anyone else want to add theirs? :dude:

Hmmm - no guesses to Public Enemy No. 1 for me:

    WATFORD ELECTRONICS!

I have never had any problems with Scan, but have never had any reason to send back stuff / deal with customer services so they don't make the list.

However, I have had warm fuzzy feelings about Stak in the past, and most recently Farnell - They replaced my Parallel VFD no questions asked, and didn't even ask for the old unit back.

If they have the stock - they seem to be a Just-in-time company, with only small amounts of stock.

yeah, that is important that they have they stock cause otherwise one is likely to get ****ed off, as they dont have a customer number to ring...

but what they had in stock i found arrived quite promptly and also well packaged, which is always good...

are you talking about the 80gig Seagates that they did a special on but didnt have in stock??

Yep - and the upgrade bundles they do. They seem to be too popular for their own good.

ccl computers are very good if you live close to them (like ME :D) but there customer service is appauling, you can stand there & they will blatently lie to your face sayign that it is not there fault

example, friend of myne bough a 1.3ghz althlon & noticed it had a damaged core on it, so he took it back, they dissaperared into the back room to "test" & when they came back, they claimed he put a heatsink on wrong & the core was now more damaged than when he had given it to them.
but you can get returns if you go on a weekend when it is busy & make a fus, rase your voice etc etc as they dont want people knowing how lax customer service is

Only for people on the western side of the pond though - even if they did ship internationaly, I'd stay clear. I've just been sung by DHL (two months after recieving my MO display) for £28 quit VAT and handling!

I shan't be ordering stuff like that from overseas again, unless it's within the EU.

we should find people that fly between london and NYC and have them "import" stuff for each other

There are a few things from maplins, CCM, and the overclocking store that I wouldn't mind. Now to find the smuggler....

http://www.chillblast.com/ i found them pretty good got a v nice fan off them and a load of other stuff the deliver was prompt

www.dabs.com where good for a refund and did exactly what it said on the tin but i found the prices to be nothing as special as some of the others. good reveiws and safe tho.

http://www.theoverclockingstore.co.uk/ they seem pretty good to me ive got allot of stuff off them and they diliver free.

http://www.cclcomputers.co.uk where ok i got some ram and some other stuff from them but have never tryed sending anything back would not go with them now after the guy up there said they where rubbish.

    not to be confused with
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ thease guys charge allot for delivery and there prices seem really good till you find at the end right by the checkout that they charge from 5 sqid to about 10 or 15 to send you stuff. also the NEXT day does not include saturday. i mention the saturday thing because the others seem to deliver on a saturday for free (and it just happened to be the next day and was signed for)

http://www.ebuyer.co.uk/ thease guys seem ok but havent really used them so couldnt tell you about any good orders. the prices just seem a little high for some of the things.

http://www.matelectronics.com/acatalog/Mat_Electronics_Popular_Service_Aides_25.html i found some cheap bits in here but i think you need to buy in bulk they have arctic silver 3 and the dialectric gel (water coolers note) for much less than any of the other shops and also any leds should be there.

finally http://www.overclockers.co.nz/ i know its new zeldian but they have this cool think in the cpu coolers section where you can go and listen to the noise they make.

umm i think thats about it. i found that all the shops have given me a replacement for anything broken but the best thing to do is not to break stuff. p.s. dabs where esp good refunding me for the wrong sort of ram allong time ago. and they replace one product with another more expencive one because i saw that the price on the other one had changed. but i dont try to push my luck ;)

I ordered from CCL Computers the other day, input my email address from so I emailed them and it came within two days ... good service.

Simply were fine delivering my £340 monitor

Ebuyer were fine delivering my CoolerMaster 201, not a single dent or scratch which is always a good sign.

Dabs, OCS and those others are all good

Only bad experience was OcUK, and tekheads but they both sorted it out eventually.

overclockers.co.uk, dabs, aria, and theoverclockingstore - pretty good service from them, oh and also kustom pc's, they are probably the best with my orders.

Worst I think is staktrading, I shall refrain from saying anything about them :grr:

I have a couple of good ones to add:

eLED.com | Cheap super bright blue LEDs, less than a buck a piece in Q. over 10. good stuff, quick shipping, well packed, like it.

zxMods.com | Bought my window kit from them, the have a bunch of specialist antec type case windows, fit is good, good communication with the guy there, they are in Houston so it was only 2 days to get my window shipped UPS ground.

Yeah CCl computers took like a month and half to send to me a case with a KNACKERED psu in it. I wouldn't bother with them again.

My favourite is probably Komplett, even if it does sometimes take a few days more to get my order.

ccl computers are alright as long as you do not need to return anything as you have to fight to get returns sorted but there are some of them that are very good @ there job but you may have to fight to get returns & its easier to do that in person

ebuyer are pretty good to deal with. they sent me a few duff things before, but heres a nice story about them:

I bought a cpu from them not long back, and i broke it while putting a hsf on. i told them it was broke (not how i did it) i sent it back, they said that i broke it, i admitted to it, and they said they'd replace it anyway!!

    nice guys there!

Aria are good (www.aria.co.uk) I don't like their returns policy though
CCM (open to trade only) very expensive, used to use them alot till they stopped sending me price lists , they had an onsite swap out policy for returns :)

Ebuyer, yup no probs with them :)

Now Staktrading, I had a GeFroce 2 MX die on me in September last year, the replacement didn't arrive until Novemeber!!
