Little Britain? What you think?

What do you think of the fantastic 3rd series of Little Britain???

 

It's losing it's humour IMHO, 1st was best then 3rd then the mediocre 2nd series.

 

Three series of the same jokes, poor at best.

I love Little Britain, I think series 2 is the best out of the three, but I don't think series 4 onwards is going to be a big hit, it's a bit like the Simpsons, running out of humour after a few series...

 

It's just piss poor comedy in its entirety.

 

It really isn't funny. They appear to have prospered and become popular with the same few jokes.

 

1st series was genious, 2nd wasent as good, they lost alot of the minor sketches which i think were funnyer that the main ones. All credit to them for changing the feel of it a bit but it wasent as good. The 3rd has some good new stuff but its let down by them flogging the original 'lou and andy, fatfighters, vicky pollard etc.' to death.

They need to leave behind the original sketches and do some new stuff, There comedy style is so repetitive the joke wears off after a series or so.

 

j()£, if you're intending to create a worthwhile post, give us your own trenchant thoughts, not a one-liner (or less) and umpteen smileys.

If you're just spamming to get an avatar or FS privileges, please don't. We notice these things and will piss in your beer.

 

I agree. I was told it was superb then sat down and tried to see where the humour was... it just isn't funny.

This comedy appeals to englands slobs at home chavs/townies/skallies etc etc... (and a small select other few) unfortunately keeping it on our tv, with a big hype? its utterly poor i watched first 2-3 episodes and i was like erm....same book different cover :s
they had a good angle on their comedy, but it just isnt funny anymore, and i taped my younger brother to a chair for 3hours over the christmas period for saying 'yeh i kno' several times in a short space of time.

I'm so glad everyone seems to think the same as me about it. It's meant to be really popular but I honestly can't understand why. Maybe it's just the BBC hyping it all up.

 

I think that the first series was great, and did so well because it was new, now the later series are getting to the point where the occasional sketch is very amusing, but the others are all old and crappy.

Unless he does something very big with series 4, then it'll be a big flop imho.

 

You'd get about one joke, at best an episode that was actually funny-funny. But then again, I never watched th first season and only watched parts of the second.

At least it's better than the office and the peep show. Jebus, now that's humourless. Infact, there's very little on TV that makes me properly laugh.

 

Little Britain is about as amusing as having your eyes pulled out.

Yeh that sketch is a bit weak but its the acting that makes most of there sketches funny, not the situation. The sketches arnt that intelligent but the way they play them is.

The main problem is alot of people think they are too 'good' to laugh at toilet humor and its for 'dumb' people. Its funny an you know it ! If this stuff happended in real life you would laugh. I love how sterotypical it is, thats the best bit.
