    It will only reformat the machine once, it will be a conditional script, so the first thing it will do is look for a file on /mnt/hda or something then if that file isn't there it will reformat and then "touch" that file. so it appears, i can then add various installs or other procedures once the machine is empty.

    Sounds like you are going to have to make a custom live ISO there.
