If you get to them in the right season, sometimes you find a few of the scotch eggs they've laid. Delicious :)

Real bacon is the norm over here Hells_Bliss. We call the stuff you guys eat "streaky bacon" and it's only really used on burgers and suchlike.

I know, I'm from Australia where we also have real normal bacon, not the fried crispy crap they pass off as bacon here.

cant beat a nice bacon bun

go a little further and mix it up a bit, be adventerous and use tomato sauce instead of brown.

I think that in the US if you want (what we think of as) real bacon you have to ask for Canadian bacon.

You're all making me hungry though - I may have to go & make a bacon sarnie! :D

And of course let's not forget fish and chips !

No pics of anything yet, me and my granny (from Réunion island) have cooked a "rougail saucisse" today, some kind of smoked sausages in a tomato/onion/spices sauce, eaten with rice. THAT's tasty ! may get a pic tomorrow.

    g3n3tiX, you are evil!

I've been a good girl since the beginning of April, but you're making it really difficult. I <3 shortbread soooo much. Add chocolate onto it and I'm smitten (especially once per month).

nah, canadian bacon is just the eye and it's much thicker, more like a steak. Plus it's still way way too fatty compared to some UK NZ or Aussie bacon.

damnit, somebody give me 1500USD so I can fly home :D
