Logitech Wingman Extreme - Finished Bl00 Mod By, Christian Piper, 10 October 2002, Christian@designdesires.uklinux.net -------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's a pic of my Logitech Wingman Extreme joystick Now on these they have a diffused semi-transprent blue ring around them with a logitech logo at the base, To me it seemed strange logitech did'nt decide to light this up so I took it upon myself to do it instead. First remove the screws from the base, These are located in the middle of the rummber feet bar one which sit's beside a foot instead, (NOTE: There is NOT a screw under the sticker I thought there was but it turned out to be the plastic mould cut). At first the base will not wan't to come away from the give it a good but firm tug it will unclip. with the base apart from the top cover you'll notice the lead coming into to small header pack on the main board. The two wires you need are the Black wire that is wrapped in sleething this is your Ground, And the other one is the Red for positive obviusly. The default voltage in is 5v @ 20ma, As shown on my Mapper's £4.99 meter (Which are great btw) So I just bridged of this with a 5v bl00 3mm led @ 100mcd for a nice smoothing effect of light. so with the wires in place and the led ready let's test it. Nice Next all you have to do is run the cable around the screw posts to the back of the joystick near the logitech logo, With a bit of glue poition it center and hold untill stuck. Next clip the whole lot back togther and screw it all, And then enjoy your new Modded joystick. Enjoy !, Feel free to ad this mod to any site's as long as im given my due credit.
