I've got a logitech wingman extreme gamepad with a 15 pin gameport that I want to hook up to my laptop. it's the one with 10 buttons, tilt sensors, and a POV hat, Model number G-ZA-PHI.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

OK are any of them HID compliant? I'm dualbooting windows and linux, and i want it to be recognized by both. I also want to use jinput with it.

Is there any way I can make an adapter from scratch? I've read that this particular model came out when USB ports were just gaining popularity. The gamepad has the USB electronics in it already but sends data to the computer through the gameport connectoin. If anybody can give me the right hookup scheme, I can just solder a gameport connector from a dead sound card I've got to a USB cord.
