Hi I'm new here & just wondering what you all think of this spec I'm looking at building, its something completely new to myself as I've never built a machine like this, usually just boring old cases & components which would just about do the job I need, so it's quite a step forward!

Antec PlusView 1000AMG Metallic Gray File Server Case
    Antec TrueBlue 480W PSU
    Coolermaster Aero 7+ (Socket A)
AMD Athlon "Barton" XP3200+ 400FSB (Socket A) CPU
DFI LanParty NFII Ultra-B (Socket A) Motherboard
TwinMOS 1GB (2x512MB) DDR PC3200 Dual Channel Kit
XFX GeForce FX 5950 Ultra 256MB DDR VIVO/DVI
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus9 Serial ATA 160GB 8MB Cache
Sunbeam CFK08-UVB 80mm UV Cold Cathode fan - Blue
    Sunbeam CFK08-RGB Cold Cathode 80mm fan - Red/Green/Blue
Coolermaster Neon LED 80mm Fan - Purple
Sunbeam Sound Activated Cold Cathode - Red/Blue/Green
    Akasa AK-173-UV 12" Cold Cathode - Ultra-Violet
Akasa Serial ATA 45cm DAYGLO Blue Data Cable
Akasa Rounded Ultra ATA133/100/66 IDE UV DAY-GLO Cable (0.45m) - Orange
Akasa Rounded Floppy UV DAY-GLO Cable (0.45m) - Red
Sunbeam Split Wire Loom - Blue
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (3.5g)

I'm still building this machine to a budget though, but am hoping the stuff I've chosen will do a good job :p Also I've chosen the above case as its the only one I like! I'm still looking for a monitor though, and having a look at a few 17" TFT jobbies!

Any feedback/comments would be apreciated thanks!

    Paul

Jet: the aero 7 performs and looks better than the jet.
AN7: the nf7-s rev.2 or the DFI lanparty NF2-ltra boards are the best for amd
the hdd: the ide versions of the dm+9 are faster, i have two of the ide's a close friend has 3 of the sata's (all in 160gig flavour) and the ide's are faster.
it looks like you are building a gaming pc, wireless mice are a bit of a nono for serious gamers, try the icemat and ms v3 optical mouse bundle from kustompcs.co.uk
monitorwise a samsung 172t is best bet.

Just updated the list up top thanks, I can sell the wireless mouse to my brother & get something decent ;)

As far as the SATA Drive goes, I'll get an IDE one instead, same make n all, so just left it as it was on the sheet! The LanParty board should look good though with the UV lights inside the case :p

Machine will be for gaming yes, but also for Web Development, programming, 3d rendering & graphics use, aswell as a few other things!
