Hey all, I am looking for a cable to allow me to mount my Aquaero LCD display separately from the controller unit. I think i need something like this: http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/973 but cant seem to find one in the UK or ebay. Any ideas?
Make your own. They are easy. The connectors keep the cable lined up as you squeeze them over the wire. Connectors Wire Or find an old floppy cable and just peel off the # of wires you need.
Thanks cheapskate. I looked at IDE cables and the pins seem to have the same spacing. Do you think i can just cut one down to 16 pins and use that?
I don't think one of the newer, super-fine IDE cables would work, but old floppy cables are compatible with the connectors I posted. If you are asking if you can cut the connector down too- no, you can't do that.
OK, so to use UK based websites i would buy 2 x 16 way IDC sockets like these: http://www.rapidonline.com/Cables-C...mounting-socket/63686/kw/IDC+Socket+Connector And use an old piece of thick floppy ribbon cable?
